Summary/Abstract: The aim of the study is to present selected trends in pedagogy on the inclusion and social exclusionof people with disabilities. The whole of the study is a pedagogical reflection on the processes ofshaping inclusive environments.The basis of considerations, divided into two parts, is the principle: diversity is normality, andevery person with disability is a separate individuality. The first part discusses good practices ofsocial inclusion and counteracting social exclusion of people with intellectual disabilities in thelight of the subject literature. The second part is a report from own research — opinions of teachers and candidates for teachers about the opportunities and threats of inclusion of students withintellectual disabilities in the school space.
