Summary/Abstract: The study seeks to explore, present and analyze the gradual formation and refinement of the idea of raising IMARO as a factor that not only disciplined its members but also reversed the perceptions of the Bulgarian Christian population in Macedonia and Edirne Thrace in relation to their hygiene and sanitary habits.
