Summary/Abstract: The problem of the resurgence of ethnicity in contemporary Serbia is analyzed from the point of view of the ethnicity theory. Bearing in mind the way in which the former Yugoslavia aisintegrated and vanished from the geopolitical map of Europe, the author searches for the causes and ways of expressing current re-ethnicahzation processes among the Serbs.
