Summary/Abstract: The author exposes and comments in this article the criticism of Eurocentrism formulated in the 1920-ics by Russian linguist Nikolaj S. Trubecki in his works on philosophy of culture and history. In dealing with this, otherwise less known aspect of Trubccki’s work, one is able to understand today’s reception and even renewal of his work in current controversies on the relation between Russia and Europe. Contemporary "Eurasian" theory about the culturaland political originality of Russia and "the Russian path", which is different from the European one, presupposes an acceptance of Trubecki’s criticism of Eurocentrism, who was one of the founders of Russian "Eurasian movement" in emigration.
