Church and „state” in the medieval trails of the Inquisition

Summary/Abstract: Father Grzegorz Ryś explains in his article how the Inquisition worked in the Middle Ages and how the secular and church authorities cooperated during its trials. He proves many faults in their activity. He judges the Inquisition’s trials, including the one of the Templars. According to Father Ryś, an inquisitor ruled using the power of the local bishops, princes and kings.
