MEDICINE - FROM THE TOOL TO THE SERVICE

Summary/Abstract: Our institution of medicino was destroyed by its transformation into the tool ol ruling mafia interests. The road toward reconstruction is leading through the professionalization of medicine. And that means reorientation of medicine to interests of health of both individual and community, and to interests of profession itself. The trend toward professionalization could be hindered by the current trend of deprofessionalization, characteristic of developed countries. However, this contradiction could be confronted here by introduction of medical pluralism and the concept of patient's rights.
