Summary/Abstract: Since the Second World War, Germany has had insufficient labor capacity, and since the 1960s, several countries, including Muslim countries, have ente-red into guest labor recruitment agreements and a large number of Muslims have migrated to Germany as part of the agreements. Following the migra-tion process, the Muslims, whose numbers have steadily increased and today constitute 6,1% of Germany's population, have tried to meet their needs for religious education mostly through the mosques of associations. However, increasing needs have made it necessary to carry out comprehensive and ins-titutional religious education activities in the areas of the mosque as well as outside the mosque. Türkisch-Islamische Union der Anstalt für Religion e. V. (Turkish Islamic Union of Religious Affairs - DITIB) which was founded in Cologne in 1984 and the largest Islamic non-governmental organization to-day in Germany with nearly 900 member associations is one of the most im-portant organizations providing religious education services to Muslims of Turkish origin, especially those living in Germany. In this study, DITIB’s acti-vities related to religious education and the current status of these activities will be determined and a general evaluation of these activities will be made.
