Summary/Abstract: Position that mother have in a village family and in society affects on reproductive behavior, as well on reproductive potential of the rural families and society as a whole. Although the children have been highly valued in the tradition of our nation, reproduction was strictly related to the marriage, therefore not every birth was greeted unconditionally, nor the woman as a mother had the same treatment in the society depending on whether she fulfilled the reproductive expectations of her society. This paper analyzes the relationship of the rural areas according to infertility and birth outside marriage. Review were made to the past of our people in order to show from the historical perspective relationship of social environment to infertility and birth out of wedlock.
