Bulgarian Revival municipalities - leading structures of modern Bulgarian enlightenment in the region of Razlog

Summary/Abstract: During the National Revival period, the organizing, administration and management of the modern Bulgarian enlightenment in the region of Razlog was to a great extent the merit of the town and village municipalities. After 1856 they established themselves as the main social institute and were involved in the solving of important cultural and educational tasks.
