SOLUTION FOR THE WORLDLINESS: THE CONCEPT OF INFÂQ

Summary/Abstract: The Worldliness is an alienation from the hereafter and God. It is a process which spoils the balance between the world and hereafter in favour of the world. It is a main obstacle to the religiosity of the individuals and society. Islam warns its members against the danger of the worldliness. It also brings various solutions for this great danger. Infaq is one and important of them. Although Islamic tradition presents zuhd and sufism as a reaction to the worldliness, the notion of infaq is extremely important alternative of it. The Qur’an constitutes a direct relationship between infaq and belief, and the infaq has a great influence on the progress of individual and teh community.
