Summary/Abstract: This article endeavors to analyze the fear related to death and its effect on the individual from psychological viewpoint making use of the present findings. It tries to discover the problem with regard to the psychological reactions of the individual against the fear of death, and that of annihilation as well as the phenomenon of mystical life and attitudes of the individual in this regard. It also analyzes the factors that reduce or increase the fear of death occurring in the form of existential concerns. The article concludes that though the fear of death is a common one, it is possible to cope with it through religious beliefs and practices.
