Kangrga’s Conception of Time

Summary/Abstract: Based on the belief that Kangrga’s book “Praxis-Time-World” is one of the most significant works in modern Croatian philosophical literature, which opened up the possibility for Croatian philosophy to have equal footing in dialogue with the best-grounded orientations of the modern philosophical world, the author focuses on an analysis of his conception of time in this paper. The choice of this concept as a possible subject of thematic analytical study was determined, on one hand, by the concept that the problem of time is the central topos of all well founded philosophical thematizations in modern philosophy and, on the other hand, by the leading thesis that Kanagrga’s philosophical work reached its peak and that he actually reaches and maintains his selfh ood in the discussions of the problem of time and in critical dialogue about the problem of time with the most signifi cant thinkers of modern philosophy.
