Summary/Abstract: The paper addresses a problem regarding the nature of philosophy. How are we to think about the variety of philosophies and the disagreement among philosophers which goes along with it? After stating the problem and looking at an organic and teleological approach to solving it, a Wittgensteinian dissolution is sketched.
