Summary/Abstract: This theoretical study deals with the problems of space in literary narrative fiction. It presents a spatial model of the fi ctional world and outlines its constitutive parts. The suggested model is a three-level one and is here compared with another three-level model designed by Gabriel Zoran. The purpose of this comparison is to highlight the diff erences between the two models, each of them being based on a diff erent conception of spationality of the fi ctional world, and, of course, to explain how the suggested model works while serving as a tool to analyse the semantic category of space in narrative.
