Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to describe the changes that take place in the ruralcommunity under the influence of the city, which constitute the phenomenon of ruralgentrification. The author describes social, economic, spatial changes as well as culturaland psychosocial changes which have not been described in Polish literature so far. Thearticle attempts to identify specific features of Polish rural gentrification and to indicateits spatial extent in rural and urban-rural municipalities.
