Summary/Abstract: The article describes the book heritage of two relatively isolated and unique Old Believer communities. The villages of Édineţ and Tataritsa since at least three centuries have been the only clusters of Pomor community in Moldova and, consequently, the only “Austrian” community in Bulgaria. Both were founded at about the same time. Both communities are not in the best period of their history and now it is the last chance to fix the various aspects of their traditional culture, including the book culture.
