Summary/Abstract: The study deals with the genesis and evolution of the police cśrcion in Poland, also called instantaneous. The conditions for establishment of this institution and application of this form of cśrcion during the Interwar period are discussed. The contemporary state is also presented and the influence of the latest legal regulations on its essence are characterized. The conclusion is that such a type of cśrcion is now of the heterogeneous nature.
