Summary/Abstract: The author of the presented study carried out an analysis of the canonical regulations concerning the penalty of dismissal from the clerical state, according to the norms established by the document De Gravioribus Delictis. The article enumerates the more grave canonical delicts, which are associated with the penalty of dismissal and reserved to the exclusive competence of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith. The first paragraph describes delicts against the Faith and the unity of the Church such as apostasy, heresy and schism. The second one refers to offences involving usurpation of ecclesiastical offices and abuse of the sacred power of ordination in exercise of it, called also as offences against the sanctity of the Holy Sacraments. The last paragraph presents more grave delicts against morality associated with the penalty of dismissal from the clerical state.
