Summary/Abstract: The study presents the life and work of Ferenc Lőrinczi, former school principal, teacher, school-inspector of the Reformed District of Transylvania, as well as author of school-books. After having taught in various secular and Reformed ecclesiastical schools, he became the director and teacher of the Reformed Elementary School of Monostor Road in Kolozsvár between 1926 and 1936. Between 1936–1940 he was the school inspector concerning primary school education within the Reformed Church District of Transylvania. Between 1940–1944 he was the royal school-inspector of Maros-Torda County and then the chief inspector of Maros and Brassó counties until his retirement.
