Summary/Abstract: This contribution deals with research in the Czech history of education between mid-eighteenth century until 1945. It offers a characterisation of existing historical production dedicated to the history of education during this period and highlights the main trends and subjects. The author points to shortcomings of existing research and outlines its future possible developments.
