Summary/Abstract: The article aims at analysing the manners of depicting Christ’s body in selected Baroque passion texts. The author looks at the 17th century passion poems by Abraham Rożniatowski, Kasper Miaskowski and Wespazjan Kochowski as her research material, as well as two less popular works by a Vilnius poet, Walenty Bartoszewski. The article points out a group of motives (addressed here as the manners of depicting the theme) which were applied by the Baroque authors to describe Christ’s body and his suffering as well as indicates the sources of these motifs and their functions.
