The analysis of ecological benefits of wind power industry in Poland

Summary/Abstract: The article presents ecological benefits resulting from the implementation of electricity generated by wind power plants. The Authors pay attention to the links between renewable energy, the issue of environmental protection and the electricity market. The paper presentsthe output size of conventional and renewable energy in Poland in the years 2005-2016. Moreover, the influence of the energy sector on the environment and human health is described. The analysis shows that wind power is an indispensable source of electricity allowing to avoid millions of dollars worth of external costs
