The influence of privatization on the effectiveness of the healthcare entity

Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article was to assess a healthcare entity using quantitative methods on the example of the public hospital in Poland and to point out the changes in the healthcare sector. These changes were introduced to adjust healthcare entities to the ever-changing market conditions while ensuring patient safety by providing them with the highest quality services at an optimum level using full potential. The Authors evaluated the technical effectiveness of the studied healthcare entity with the aid of quantitative indicators. The source data used to calculate the effectiveness indicators were gathered from the medical statistics of the analyzed hospital.
