Summary/Abstract: On 31 January 2015 the Prime Minister of the Republic of Macedonia (RM) Nikola Gruevski went on TV with a public appeal to the citizens, announcing that the leader of the opposition Social Democratic Union of Macedonia (SDSM) Zoran Zaev in several meetings had pressed him to resign, claiming that as a result of cooperation with a foreign intelligence service he had obtained tapes of telephone communications exposing wrongdoings of the premier and his team.
