Summary/Abstract: Mawlawi Order is a sufi movement (Tariqa) that established in Anatolia in 13th century. This sufi movement was expended by the organization of Mawlawi lodges/Dergâhs (Mevlevîhâne). In the early period sheikhs were appointed by the chief sheikh lived in Konya. In the later sheikh was passed from the father to son. Children of the sheikh were appointed particularly after 18th century to prevent the income of foundation for Mawlawi lodge/Dergâh. In order to educate child sheikh and to govern the Mawlawi lodge the representative of sheikh was also established.
