Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is assessing quality of data on trade in goods between Poland and other EU member states. In the study, we used 2017 data from Comext database provided by Eurostat. Differences between declared values of intra-Community supplies from Poland to other EU countries, on the one hand, and declared values of acquisitions on the other, have been examined. The above-mentioned differences are in part a result of threshold values for reporting which differ among countries. They are also a reflection of the quality of data gathered by statistical offices in all member states and later passed to Eurostat. We assessed the quality of statistical data on Poland’s intra-Community trade in goods using some proposed divergence measures which is an innovation in international trade research.
