Summary/Abstract: Magdalena Ujma analyses drawing from the point of view of an art reviewer and a curator who works with modern art. She briefly describes the history of drawing’s understanding and application in modern art. She concentrates on the ways drawing was considered by avant-guard theoreticians. Ujma is interested in short-hand, expressive sketching and capturing events, habits, ideas. As example, she described Dan Perjovschi and Nedko Solakov’s drawings, which she finds particularly interesting.
