Summary/Abstract: After World War II, the labor migration from Turkey to Germany had started, caused by Turks who settled there, and how this new living environment let them interact, such as making friends and getting married to Germans. In this research the mixed (binational) marriages in Germany between Turks and Germans will be specified. The study will be focused on the perspective or prejudices of the couples, on each other’s religious beliefs and cultures before marriage and whether these perspectives had changed after marriage, and the opinion of their families, relatives and friends about this marriage and how it influences these relationships. It will analyze how these kind of marriages affect the relationships between the couples and their families, relatives and friends by the experiences of the couples who live in binational (Turkish-German) marriages and who live in the German Federal States of Nordrhein-Westfalen and Bavaria, in context of Sociology of Religion.
