The crossheadings of the Criminal law Code in Poland – analysis in terms of the theory of text linguistics and of the criminal law

Summary/Abstract: The paper concerns the crossheadings, fundamental and undoubtedly essential for legal science texts, which are the law titles of the current Criminal law Code in Poland. Hereby, their analysis was carried out both ways, in terms of the theory of text linguistics, as well as the theory of the criminal law. Therefore, the text is interdisciplinary. The aim of the article is to analyse the crossheadings. One the one hand, to evaluate their structure and the role of the text coherence. On the other hand, taking into consderation the way they reflect the protection issue of contained legal articles. It will also show if they are always fully reflected and how much the way of showing the Criminal law Code’s content is involving in the process of the law interpretation. It means discovering the values that are protected by the legislator in the chapter.
