Summary/Abstract: In the Polish legal system, there are many provisions aimed at supporting the proper functioning of the family. In order to protect it, the legislator foresaw a crime of non-alimony. Amendments introduced in June 2017, to the Polish Penal Code, amending Art. 209, should contribute to the strengthening of constitutionally guaranteed subjective rights, in particular to help families in difficult financial and social situations.
