Summary/Abstract: The author’s focus is on two chamber-vocal opuses by Oleg Negruta, created in the mid-1980s on the subject of war and peace. This is the ballad song “Living…” based on the verses by V. Omov, created in 1984, and the ballad to the lyrics by R. Olszewski “The Mourning Wall”, written in 1985. The author reveals the genre features of the analyzed works based on the use of the signs of a ballad and a mourning march, the specificity of interpretation of the vocal part and piano accompaniment, and other methods.
