Summary/Abstract: Iron is one of the most strategic mines of human history. Plough and other similar tools have been manufactured in this mineral to create new horizons for humanity. On the other side, the swordsmanship, as well as warlike instruments, have become the decisive elements of inter-communal struggle. The Turks have been a decisive factor in world history by using the iron mine successfully for both purposes. The ability of tampering in the process of Turkization of Anatolia should have brought Turks advantageous position against the Byzantine residents. The iron slag found in the vicinity of Bilecik, which is the base of this work, has also been approached this way. Central Sakarya Valley has been hosting the Gaza activities for a long time as a "Uc" region. The same region remained under the pressure of the native Byzantine rulers, and eventually it continued to be a field where the struggle between the two sides was the livelier for a long time. It was the raw material iron that Turkmens used in making weapons they needed for their Gaza activities (conquests) and maintaining life here. The iron melting areas, which are determined as a result of field works, have revealed that this activity is made in local and remote areas. On the other hand, studies have also been carried out to determine the deposits of iron ore deposits and their connections with melting sites.
