Summary/Abstract: The “Righteous among Nations” award is the highest Israeli state Award. It’s the highest award in the world granted by the Jewish community to people of other nationalities that saved Jews during the Holocaust risking their own lives. This high award was posthumously granted to Avdo, Esma, Sabrija and Safeta Prohić from Gračanica, who saved the little Jewish girl Nada Kolman from the Ustashe in 1943. This article is a report from the ceremony which was organized on the 25th of May 2018 in the ceremonial hall of the Jewish community in Sarajevo. The award was received by the author for the Prohić family.
