Summary/Abstract: During the initial Austro-Hungarian occupation, Gračanica gave a great contribution to the local resistance, and it was also the battlefield on which several battles were fought between the Bosniak resistance and the occupying forces. This was a theme on the pages of the “Gračanički glasnik” several times in the past. This article is the testimony of Davorin Muršec Živkov, a Slovenian, who was a soldier in the 20th Division of the Imperial and Kingly Austrian army. He was a soldier during the occupational campaign in the Gračanica region and northeastern Bosnian. This testimony was published for the first time in the magazine “Slovenski gospodar” in 1881. It was translated by Slavica Pavlović. All remarks in the text are made by the redaction.
