Summary/Abstract: Since 1987, delusional disorder is took place in DSM-III and well recognized as a psychiatric disorder by mental health members worldwide. Prevalence of delusional disorder is percentile of 0,18. Delusional disorder has many sub-type. These sub-types are persecution, grandiose, somatic, jealous, mix and erotomanic type. Delusional Disorder is treats by medicine. Even though importance of delusional disorder, scientific knowledge regarding delusional disorder is significantly limited. Main explanation of this downside is that patients‟ functionality levels remain stable in time and therefore they have not seek for treatment. Because of scientific knowledge is limited, diagnose and treatment process of delusional disorder can be cease which is potentially make severe negative impacts on patients‟ life. Limited scientific and solid knowledge regarding delusional disorder urged many scientists for exploration of its nature in years. For this route, many research conducted in years on national and international platforms. Main purpose of this article is to search thoroughly important findings of scientific writings and to compile gathered data for contributing efficiency of diagnose and treatment of delusional disorder.One of the most noteworthy results suggests a connection between HLA-A-03* gene and delusional disorder. Other result states a link between Herpes Simplex Virus Type 2 Glycoprotein gG2 and psychotic disorders.
