Summary/Abstract: The submitted paper provides an overview of study possibilities in Music Pedagogy programs at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, Bavaria, and compares the Slovak and German systems of study in the field of Music Pedagogy. The comparison utilizes Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica as a representative example of Slovak universities in order to highlight individual differences and similarities of both systems. The text deals with the whole process of study from entrance exams to graduate placement, including the German educational structure, modules and courses of study. Specifically it points out the process of educating future teachers and its position in German society.
