Summary/Abstract: The aim of this study investigates the effects of emotional intelligence and transformational leadership in conflict management in airline ground handling companies. While there are significant amount of research on emotional intelligence and transformational leadership; There is not study on relationship between transformation leadership, emotional intelligence and conflict management variables in the airline transportation sector. The data were collected from 220 ground handling service companies that operates in Istanbul Atatürk Airport. Our findings suggest that there is a significant relationship between emotional intelligence and all aspects of conflict management strategies. It was determined that the transformational leader's only affect the integration, is sub-dimension conflict management strategies. The results of the study emphasize the role of emotional intelligence and transformational leadership in conflict management as well as providing information about conflict management strategies to the personnel in air transportation.
