Summary/Abstract: Logotherapy is a therapeutic approach which aims to resolve some psychological disorders and existential emptiness. Logotherapy is basically based on search for meaning. Logotherapy, which was developed by Viktor Frankl in the Second World War and subsequent years rests on humanistic approach. The aim of this study is to explore the historical development, strengths and weaknesses of logotherapy besides defining some basic concepts in logotherapy. Moreover, with this study it is aimed to bring up the relationship between logotherapy and religion. The current study is a review study which is based on literature review. In the end of the study, the researcher defined how logotherapy was addressed by various researchers in the course of history. This study is expected to contribute to the raise in the awareness about logotherapy in Turkey.
