Summary/Abstract: The general aim of this research is to find out how the secondary schools in Ankara can be used for the 11 dimensions of effective school (instructional leadership, open vision and mission, safe and orderly environment, positive school climate, high expectations, regular monitoring and evaluation, basic skills, learning opportunities (opportunities), family and community involvement, professional development, teacher involvement). This research is a quantitative work to be done on the "screening model". The data collection tool called "High Performance Middle School Differentiating Nine Feature Screening Scale" developed by the Ankara University School Development Team has been developed to measure the 11 characteristic characteristics of effective schools and to determine the 11 characteristic characteristics of selected public middle schools in this frame. In the 2017-2018 academic year, students studying in secondary schools attached to the Ministry of National Education. 147 students at the class level were applied. In this study, generally applied theoretical research and evaluation method is used. The study consists of 65 questions in total which consists of 3 questions which determine the demographic characteristics of middle school students and 62 questions which are effective school (student opinion) scale.
