Summary/Abstract: In the introduction the author describes the position and progress of the Carinthian Slovenes from mid-19th century till present days. Then he focuses on some issues specifically, evaluating the significance of the organisation known as »Mohorjeva družba«, the motives behind the 1920 Plebiscite decision, the options decided about in 1945, as well as the problem of bilingual schools.
