Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this study is to optimize the explosive strength of the lower limbs of the students in the U.P.B mini-soccer representative team. The study was conducted over six months of training on a sample of 20 students (aged 18-21) of the first and second years of study who were randomly divided into two groups, the experimental group and control one. To determine the level of the explosive strength in the two groups of subjects, both in the initial and final phases of the study we used the Myotest device (Sion, Switzerland) by applying the Countermovement Jump and Squat Jump tests. By using the Myotest wireless accelerometer, we could determine the following variables: the jump height, power, strength, speed, and strength in speed regime. After the initial recording of the data, we elaborated programs of training of the experimental group, designed according to the game station, namely the goalkeeper and field players. The validation of the training programs, elaborated and introduced in the experimental group training, was based on the objective evaluation of the level of the explosive strength development of the lower limbs by means of the Myotest Pro device. The results obtained by the subjects in the experimental group compared to the control group showed at the end of the study statistically significant differences in all the tested parameters, the level of development of the explosive strength registering superior progress in the experimental group. The conclusions drawn from the study completes the database with useful information for coaches, physical education and sports teachers and soccer players who want to improve their lower limbs explosive strength.
