Summary/Abstract: The investigation deals with the pomana custom, observed by the Bulgarian and Wallachian population in the regions of Vidin and Oryahovo. The custom has been studied mostly from the point of view of the ethno-psychology, whereby the causes underlying its vitality have been sought and its evolution in the present day has mostly been related to the question of its origin.
