Summary/Abstract: The author endeavours, on the basis of archive material, to shed light on the process of nationalisation of private commercial companies in Radovljica, Bled and Bohinj regions in the years between 1946 and 1948. Apart from the nationalised companies and their owners, data is given on the estimation of nationalised property before and after May 1948. This is followed by a description of the process of the transformation of private companies into statal companies of the socialist type, as well as the negative consequences that the mentioned process inflicted on the economy.
