Summary/Abstract: On the basis of literature and archive sources the author outlines the organisation and military activities of the antipartisan and anti-revolutionary movement in the area between Novo mesto and Gorjanci He briefly describes the activity of the Styrian battalion (Štajerski bataljon) and of two, so-called .Death Legion battalions (Legija smrti) which operated in the framework of the collaborationist Voluntary Anti-Commumst Militia, as well as the armed conflicts between them. After the capitulation of Italy, the 3 rd Slovene Home Guard battalion (Domobranci) was formed out of these troops and Home Guard military posts were positioned in the area to constitute the so-called Novo mesto District Protection.
