Summary/Abstract: The paper presents trends in wages and salaries in Slovenia in the last 100 years. It shows the development of wage relations, starting with the craft order novel in 1885, the regulation of employment with the collective wage agreements between the two world wars, self-managing agreements after World War II, through to the new collective wage contracts in 1991. The development of employees' living standards is illustrated with the data on wages and salaries.
