Summary/Abstract: In this study, the physical structure, importance and student population of Mechatronics program in Vocational Schools (VS) that train intermediate staff for production sector in Artvin province is investigated. The number of students in training program as a technical department in Artvin Çoruh University Hopa VS from 2010 to 2016 is presented. In Hopa VS the average number of students of the last seven years, whose quote is 41 students, is determined as 33.08. In Rize, Trabzon, Ordu, Çorum, Sinop and Sakarya province giving associate degree Mechatronics education, the average the number of students in new systems in 2017 is determined as 37.55 while 24.83 in the last three years. Then, the results of placement in 2018 is examined. According to the number of students in these six provinces in the last three years and Hopa VS, the average number of students of the last seven years, the number of students of closed Mechatronics program in 2017 and 2018 years is tried to be estimated. In 2017, Artvin Coruh University Borcka Acarlar VS quota is 41 students, which the results of placement is two students. The reasons of this number is investigated and revealed. The rate of placement of mechatronic associate degree program throughout Turkey is determined about %99.31. As a result, it is concluded that mechatronics program closed in Artvin Coruh University should be reopened within Vocational High schools having the necessary technical infrastructure and in the case of reopening It can reach to the rate of placement throughout Turkey.
