Summary/Abstract: The universal appplication of the law of karman is a theme that has had to be reformulated again and again. The long life of the Buddha is full of casual meetings, but all are the result of karman, not of chance. When we consider the most important events of his life, especially the successions of episodes surrounding his birth, we find karmic predestination at every stage. The topic of this article will be the career of a nun, Kajangalā, who happens to be at the converging point of three series of karmic tales.
