Summary/Abstract: 16 and 17 century Flemish painters painted numerous portraits related with casual life including surgical works of medicine. Though medicine had a determined aim in that time, it was lack of method that would group and list illnesses. The aim of this paper that Baraque Art undertakes the 16th century European illnesses that have pathologic evidence. The article is focused on the collection of pathologic paintings listed in Prado Museum drawfism, hypothyroidism, eunuchism, hypercortisondism, hemiplegia, mental retardation, hirsutism, parasites, ringworm shows that portraits painters had described pathologies before medical knowledge.
