Summary/Abstract: In a globalizing world, the impact of International Direct Investment (IDI) on economic development and the welfare of the countries are of increasing importance. Particularly in the new world order shaped by the concepts of information and communication in achieving economic and social welfare for Turkey, to provide a stable and sustainable growth is of great importance. In this context, although our country's economic liberalization movement Iras started to increase especially since 1980s and including 1990s, because of no support with a number of structural reforms, expected developments in this direction were not achieved. Especially by introducing a number of structural reforms since the 2000s, a significant amount of increase have been experienced in IDI inflows.
