Summary/Abstract: The parents can not help their children enough in their homework which is appropriate to constructivist education and teaching system due to changing understanding of education. Besides, the homework is getting more complicated, and the idea that regards homework not a task to be done always at home, is becoming more common. The Turkish Ministry of Education approved the study of primary education study program under the supervision of classroom teachers to evaluate the studies of the students carried out during the day which prepare the students to the next lessons and to make them gain study skills them studying skills in 2006. Since 2006 the issues, whether these study programs are being implemented in primary schools are effective or not, its contribution to students’ success, and for what reasons do the parents take their children to these study programs are becoming questionable. The after school study programs are especially planned for the students with working parents and those who have nobody else to take care of them at home, is a safe place to do their homework and gives the students the opportunity to spend their time more effectively.
